What’s been happening:

1963-67 PSU Memories: Completing two 50-mile walk competitions; hiking up Mt. Nittany; eating all that great West Halls food (who came up with that Sunday morning French toast covered with pancake batter breakfast item?); feeding a few tame West Hall squirrels; going to Rec Hall for gym meets, The Supremes, the indoor track and one unlucky full body punching bag that I worked over; seeing the wild scene after Penn State beat #2 Ohio State in football (1964); dislocating a shoulder playing PE soccer; trying to walk from Rec Hall to the ROTC marching field after PE squash (in full uniform) and never getting there on time; listening to WDFM at midnight; watching Bobby Fischer taking the Chess Club apart in friendly matches at West Halls; being in the last class to wear a dink for freshmen orientation; eating ice cream at the old Creamery; attending the wonderful Hort Shows; golfing on the Penn State course; watching the nuts in Linden House build a swimming pool out of one of the showers; viewing the dogwood and cherry trees from my dorm window; watching Paterno going 5-5 in his first year as head coach (1966); seeing the crushed car in which some students were killed on their trip home; experiencing the quiet on campus when President Kennedy was assassinated and; donating blood for the very first time at the HUB.
